Shaghaf is a humanitarian volunteering foundation that was launched in 2017. SVF carries out various volunteer projects locally in inner Palestine, around the world, and in countries of asylum in particular- to improve and develop the conditions of refugees and vulnerable people.
Shaghaf also provides a space for every person who believes in the value of giving and the importance of volunteer and community work through building engaging youth programs and frameworks.

Shaghaf is an Arabic word (شغف) which means passion in English.
The name comes from a very important question that we asked ourselves at the beginning of our volunteer journey;
Why do we do what we do? Why did we choose to be full-time humanitarians?
The answer was "because it's our passion to help people and spread happiness".
Being passionate about something means that you'll stay passionate about it all the time, it's a timeless thing that we hope we will be able to spread for generations that will continue helping and volunteering all over the world.

We have a transparent system of how we use the donations and what for, we see that our strength stems from our adherence to firm core values that we take seriously and apply to all of the details of our work, whether in our daily work as a team or while being in the field with volunteers and between refugees & vulnerable people around the world.

SVF is an independent foundation that relies on individual donations from donors from around the world.

Unfortunately, we don't accept in-kind donations since most of our humanitarian work occurs abroad, and transferring your in-kind donations from one country to another is way more expensive than buying the needed items for distribution from the same country we are implementing the campaign in.
