Um Aboud 

Um Aboud is our chef for Ramadan 2023. She lost her son and his family in the earthquake. 
Despite that, she provided, with her generous soul and loving heart, tens of
authentic meals we distributed to those affected by the earthquakes.

Um Aboud is a part of Sham Kitchen, the kitchen we chose to work with
throughout the month of Ramadan, which is a home-based woman-run kitchen
initiated by Syrian Women and run by Ms.Yasmeen, from Idlib.
The cooperation between Shaghaf and Sham Kitchen was the source of income
for tens of women and homes that had work opportunities for an entire month.

We are proud of the striving women, who are stronger than all circumstances.
