Kenya Relief Mission

In our recent relief mission in northern Kenya - the Somali border,
we focused our efforts on poor, remote villages suffering from severe drought,
that is due to the interruption of the rainy season for four consecutive years.
Which also led to a severe shortage of food sources and the death of livestock.
With the help and enthusiasm of volunteers, we distributed hundreds of food parcels
for the residents of the villages, and as a solution to the water crisis and drought,
we dug 3 wells that provide pure and potable water
(one working on solar energy and two that work manually).

This saves the people of the area from having to walk approximately 10 km daily
to get to the nearest river and get dirty water.

We also provided solar lamps to illuminate the villages in the evening hours,
between the thatched houses and at the wells that we opened there.
